Zuppinger water wheel for low-head hydropower applications

Abstract

A Zuppinger water wheel is an efficient device for low-head hydropower application. The model tests have shown efficiency in the range of 60-80% over a wide operating range. It could be an eco-friendly solution for upgrading low-head hydropower resources.
