Abstract
The CDI is broadening its base and wants to engage ‘career educators’ as CDI members and support the development of this role in schools. There may be challenges to this in a Scottish context because there has never been a clearly defined ‘career coordinator’ in Scottish schools and no single consistent approach to supporting school pupils to develop career management skills as different delivery models pertain in different local authorities.
