Abstract
Being landlocked associated with trading disadvantage compared to coastal countries which reflects in lower development levels, inequality, vulnerability, poverty and weak economic growth as a whole. Geographical difficulty relatively related to the development prospects of the countries and external trade however it does not make up the entire scenario of being less competitiveness in trading in global marketplace and slow in socio-economic development of landlocked countries. The aim of this study is to investigate the Supply Chain issues faced by healthcare, education sectors in Malawi. This has been accomplished by through a systematic review of post graduate supply chain dissertations written by students enrolled at University of Bolton. The findings indicate a wide range of issues that are contributing to poor performance of these sectors resulting in inventory stock outs, poor delivery performance and poor service delivery.
