Abstract

Pressuremeter tests were performed on partially and fully saturated reconstituted silt samples, with either pervious or impervious boundary conditions, and with varying loading rates. Results have shown that the derived soil parameters are sensitive to the interpretation methods. The lift-off pressure is higher than the initial at rest pressure. And the common loading rates, particularly for saturated samples, are not fast enough to prevent drainage in the field.
