Abstract

The workshop aims to present findings from North Lanarkshire Justice Social Work participation in the two year piloted Alcohol and Drug Problem Solving Court (ADPSC) operating out of Hamilton Sheriff Court. The presentation will showcase findings from a recent independently conducted mid-term evaluation undertaken by Dr R McLean of the University of the West of Scotland. The presentation is further supported by offering up insights from justice support workers involved in the project, and service user experience from those who have completed ADPSC Structured Deferred Sentences (SDS). The workshop is a hybrid presentation of presentation findings and interactive discussion with those involved in the pilot.
