Leverage private sector for Africa’s integration

    Abstract

    Africa’s growing and vibrant private sector is already driving regional and continental integration. The information, technology and digital revolution are transforming the way of doing business across the continent including an exponential growth in the service industry that is outpacing growth in manufacturing. This panel will examine how to better integrate public and private efforts towards improving the environment for doing business in Africa including investments that reduce the cost of cost of doing business and build viable value chains for agriculture, commodities and services. Leading experts will discuss best practices for scaling up integrated efforts towards creating a critical mass of entrepreneurs and the supportive ecosystems for enhancing access to affordable domestic and external financing (including impact investment) that spurs innovation, employment and growth across the continent.
