Abstract

French probation has been undergoing reform since the Conference de Consensus sur la Prevention de la Recidive in 2012/3. The trade union SNEPAP is the only trade union in this sector that represents the range of professions within the Service Penetentiare Insertion et Probation. This presentation seeks to find a common basis on which practice is built in the Scottish contexts of working with those labelled as "offenders".
