    Abstract

The talk aims to answer the time old question - is it possible to kill somebody with a strike/blow/hit, and what is behind the legend of the 'poisoned hand' (i.e. the touch of delayed death). Through exploration of anatomical weak spots and the understanding of the physiological reaction following a hit, it is possible to scientifically explain a delayed death following possibly unrelated situations. Several deadly and dangerous acupressure points and their locations will be discussed and evidence will be given of forensic cases where the triggering of these points has lead to death. The talk also aims to explain, in scientific and physiological terms, why these points are deadly.
