Abstract

New high spin excitations in several light f7=2 nuclei have been studied by means of EUROBALL IV. The application of the Recoil Filter Detector has allowed for a significant reduction of the Doppler broadening of measured high energy gamma-lines. In the article, a band termination observed for the intruder rotational bands in 45Sc is discussed. Results are compared with shell model calculations.
