Abstract
The evolution of the vertical distribution of Cs134 from Chernobyl in two soils of north-west Italy has been investigated to highlight the factors controlling its mobility. In one of the site only a poor control from the amount of fine fraction appears. In the other site a significant mineralogical control is shown, the amount of smectite being the parameter correlated with mobility.
