Abstract
Based on two knowledge exchange events hosted by the Centre for Migration, Diaspora, Citizenship & Identity (CMDCI) at the University of the West of Scotland (UWS) and Maynooth University Social Sciences Institute (MUSSI), this research brief provides evidence-based insight into how grassroots diaspora organisations and local-level practitioners across Scotland and Ireland contribute to social cohesion. It highlights structural realities, policy friction points, and delivery mechanisms shaping community integration, concluding with actionable recommendations for practitioners, NGOs, and policymakers.
