Abstract
Crisis in organization (project based organization) is now a ubiquitous phenomenon. Crisis is a threat to organizational performance and sustainability. A special focus is put on companies that use projects in their daily work. Literature tells us about different kind of crisis but it does not adequately address its impact on project based organizations (PBOs) performance and PBO capabilities to deal with crisis. It is imperative for organization to address different type of crisis and manage them since each crisis might require different capability and without having sufficient knowledge about types of crisis, it is not possible to manage crisis. We develop an integrative framework to explore different types of crisis (internal, external, social and technical), its impact on PBO performance (project performance and stakeholder performance) and PBO capabilities (strategic, functional and project capabilities) to handle these crises.
