    Abstract

The authors have noted to small errors since publication of this article. Firstly, the final sentence in the abstract currently reads: ‘These data suggest that a 6 weeks of supervised HIIT can facilitate the long term.’

However, it should read: ‘These data suggest that 6 weeks of supervised HIIT can facilitate the long-term preservation of aerobic capacity, but to attenuate the decline, exercise should be maintained.’

There is also one error in the discussion: ‘While the observation that LEX had greater cardiorespiratory fitness than LEX is not new, it is encouraging that irrespective of initial fitness levels, both…’

Should be ‘While the observation that LEX had greater cardiorespiratory fitness than SED is not new, it is encouraging that irrespective of initial fitness levels, both…’

The authors would like to apologize for any inconvenience caused.
