Abstract

We show that the placement of two or more scatterers inside the microdisk allows for a better control of its emission properties. The scatterers can be used to either support the directionality of the emission into a single direction, or to split the emission into several chosen directions. More than one scatterer is also needed if one wants to change the frequencies of both modes of a degenerate pair.
