Abstract
'[citizen]' (2001) is an interactive audiovisual artwork created in collaboration with Japanese composer Teruyoshi Kamiya. The work reflects upon the city in the age of globalisation through visual montages, textual fragments and audio loops. As the user interacts with these elements, a city constructed from collages of both real and imagined fragments is gradually revealed.
The project received generous support from the Phonos Foundation (University of Pompeu Fabra) in Barcelona.
