Abstract
This short volume examines the reasons behind a lack of advancement in a small study of female academics in Scottish universities; evaluates their perceptions regarding the causes of this lack of progression, and examines whether the introduction of Gender Equality Schemes in 2007 and the Equality Act (2010) have made a discernible difference.
