IV-Hyperspectral-imaging Crop Camera (HCC) for agriculture optimisation

Project: Research

Project Details

Description

The pea production process of harvesting and threshing can result in “mud under skin” (MUS) defects which can lead to 3-5% reject of the product. Testing is only possible with bulk samples and physical separation and sensory testing for “grit”. Low-cost hyperspectral imaging has been developed and applied by UWS staff to differentiate between leafy vegetables and plant health
