Current research activities

Dr. R. Vedhapriyavadhana is a Lecturer in the School of Computing, Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of West of Scotland, London Campus. She also serves as a visiting faculty member at Wuxi Taihu University in Binhu City, Shanghai, China. With 18 years of experience in teaching and research, she has established herself as an accomplished academic in the fields of Image and Video Signal Processing, Internet of Things (IoT), Deep Learning, and Biomedical Instrumentation.

Throughout her career, Dr. Vedhapriyavadhana has made substantial contributions to academic literature, authoring and co-authoring more than 25 research articles in prestigious journals and conferences. Her research work extends beyond traditional publications, as evidenced by her book chapter contributions to leading publishers including Elsevier, Springer, and IET. Her innovative work in technology has led to two patents: one in Internet of Things and another in Surveillance Robot applications.
