Stuart Milligan is Lecturer (Joint Appointment) in the School of Health Nursing and Midwifery. Fifty percent of his time is spent at Ardgowan Hospice, Greenock where his job role is Education Facilitator.
Area of academic expertise - outline
Stuart is interested in all aspects of palliative care but is currently most concerned with service development and service evaluation, particularly in community settings.
Current research activities
Stuart has published articles and papers on several aspects of palliative care including palliative care in hospitals, palliative care in the community, advance care planning, spiritual care, palliative care in intensive care settings, improvment in palliative care and oral care.
Desired research direction
Stuart is intrested in improving palliative care provision and outcomes in a varierty of care settings.
