Practice based output:
MA Project-Practice based research exploring the notion of collective memory through film-based output: “The Point of No Return”, an animated documentary about a WW2 meteorologist. First person narrative retelling the responsibilities and repercussions of sending aircraft on missions and implications of locating the Bismarck.
Early career researcher, preparatory stages of PhD commencement: Doctor of Education, Creative and Media, investigating how various modes of media can be applied to teaching and learning.

Responsible for running of the Studio Lab initiative. Studio Lab is a collaborative, cross-discipline enterprise where students are trained in a variety of technical and creative aspects of studio production. Studio Lab has created sucessful links with both internal and external partners including Ayr United Football team and Ayrshire Addicion Services and is currently collaborting with the Schol of Engineering and the School of Nursing and Midwifery as part of two high profile screen-based international initiatives.
Summer School-Internationalisation. Offering technical summer school training in TV studio operations to exchange students from Bejing University. Output-Facilitation of a short studio based television programme involving and created by a group of international exchange students.
Facilitation of online studio-based television channel available for live streaming of newsdays, dramas and other associated creative output both internally and in conjunction with external partners.
Partnership with Ryerson Global Campus Network allows cross-university collaboration on a global scale through a series of ongoing live international broadcasts.
