Personal profile
Overview
I hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science, specializing in Machine Learning, and I am driven by my passion for developing intelligent systems that contribute to United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG’s) in a range of market segments, including circular economy, sustainability, internet of things enabled smart agriculture, and health and safety. My collaborative and consultative approach nurtures honest and sustainable relationships with colleagues, as demonstrated throughout my career. My skills in problem-solving, critical thinking, and generating innovative ideas have helped me progress in my career.
I have led numerous innovative projects, including a collaborative project with Crickingif, a cricket media startup, where we developed a project on 'Cricket Video Scene Categorisation and Labelling', and received the Rector’s Award for Innovation in 2018. Additionally, I led two research projects on 'Electric Demand Forecasting' and 'Dengue Fever Spread Forecasting' in collaboration with the national grid and health department, respectively. I secured funding to pitch my startup on 'Electrical Demand Forecasting' in Silicon Valley and other US markets.
To develop an innovation strategy for my circular economy startup, Circulayo, I completed the 'Innovation Strategy Course' by KTN UK and 'Leadership and Management Training Modules' offered by Ashorne Hill Management College, UK.
