Sandro Carnicelli is the Programme Leader for the MSc International Events Management and for the PostGraduate Certificate in Conference Management at the University of the West of Scotland, UK. Sandro has published articles in international journals, including Annals of Tourism Research,Tourism Management, Annals of Leisure Research, Journal of Teachingin Travel & Tourism, and World Leisure. He is also a member of the ABRATUR (International Academy for the Development of Tourism Research in Brazil), and he is on the Executive Board (Treasurer) of the Leisure Studies Association and of the Association for British Professional Conference Organisers (ABPCO). Sandro is a memeber of the Royal Society of Edinburgh Youngh Academy of Scotland (YAS).

Sandro is the Associate Editor of the Journal of Adventure Education and Outdoor Learning, Associate Editor of Motriz - Brazilian Journal of Physical Education, he is on the Advisory Board of the Annals of Leisure Research, and on the editorial board of Tourism Management Perspectives.

- Research on Educational Philosophies
