Research interests include dementia, advanced dementia, dementia in secrue settings, dementia education and dementia care giver support. Qualitative methodologies, knowledge exchange, improvement science, learning transfer and practitioner research.
Current research activities
Rhoda recently led a Dunhill Medical Trust funded project into dementia in prison and a RSE workshop grant to explore the feasibility of introducing cognitive screening into prisons. She leads an Insitutional Seedcorn Grant funded by the RS Macdonald Trust to grow a vibrant interdisciplinary community of dementia researchers at UWS. Following on from being a Visiting Research Scholar at the University of Saskatchewan in 2017 Rhoda has worked on a number of international research grants based in Canada.
Rhoda welcomes inquiries about examining and from potential students interested in undertaking postgraduate research into dementia and integrated health and care.
