Personal profile

Current research activities

My research interests centre on the intersection of physical and mental health.

I am currently focusing on mental health as it relates to reproductive justice. I am also seeking to apply a social psychological framework (namely Moscovici's social representations) to the area of reproduction and mental health.

Area of academic expertise - outline

I am a qualified clinical psychologist, with my clinical experience focused on clinical health psychology and neuropsychology, working with both adults and children.

I hold a BA (Mod) in Psychology and French from Trinity College Dublin, an MPhil in Social and Developmental Psychology from the University of Cambridge, funded by a Gates Cambridge Scholarship, and a ClinPsyD from the Univeristy of Manchester. I am also a fellow of Advance HE (the Higher Education Academy).

Current teaching activities and interests

I teach on pre-registration mental health nursing programmes, as well as the BA in Integrated Health and Social Care. I also support delivery of the Master's in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
