My primary arrea of interest is in the teaching of clinical skills. In particular the pedagogical principles which support learning within the simulated environment.
Current research activities
Currently exploring the application of three key prinicples to support learning in simulation, preparedness, immersion and debrief and how these are applied within the spiral curriculum.
Desired research direction
Aim to explore the preparedness of students in the transition to the role of staff nurse.
