Personal profile

Overview

I am a Lecturer in Sports Performance in the Division of Sport, Exercise and Health (School of Health and Life Sciences). From both teaching and research perspectives, I describe myself as a generalist-specialist. I have fourteen years of teaching experience across four higher education institutions in the United Kingdom. My research interests broadly focus on the quantitative and qualitative analysis of sports performance and its enhancement. Professionally, I am a BASES Accredited Sport and Exercise Scientist (Physiology Research) and a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist. As a practitioner, I have coached and supported athletes from a variety of sports, ages, and levels.

Current teaching activities and interests

I am currently module coordinator for L10 (fourth year) Strength and Conditioning and L9 (third year) Sports Conditioning and Biomechanics modules. In addition, I contribute and teach on many other modules across all year groups on our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
