I joined the University of the West of Scotland (UWS) in August 2022 as a Lecturer in Engineering and Project Management. Before joining UWS, I worked for three and a half years as a Lecturer in Industrial Engineering at Dawood University of Engineering and Technology and for two years in project monitoring and evaluation.

My research brings together engineering, project management and digital technologies, with particular interests in machine-learning applications, infrastructure projects, Industry 4.0, competency development, circular economy, sustainability and process improvement. My work has been published in international peer-reviewed journals across engineering and management.

My doctoral research, Machine Learning-Based Project Management Framework for Private Participation in Infrastructure Projects, received the Association for Project Management (APM) Doctorate of the Year Award 2023 and was recognised by the Graduate School of Engineering at Hanyang University as an excellent doctoral dissertation.

My research and knowledge-exchange activities have a strong applied and industry focus. I was Principal Investigator of a consultancy project funded by the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI), applying machine learning to the development of competence profiles and career pathways for quality professionals. I am also Co-Investigator on two Innovate UK Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs) with a combined project value of approximately £500,000, supporting digital transformation, process improvement and industry innovation.

I supervise research across Engineering and Project Management at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels and regularly contribute to peer review for international academic journals.
