Activities per year
I have worked in a range of health and social care settings for 30 years and qualified as a social worker in 1997. I have worked as a front line social work practitioner and practice educator in England and Scotland, with experience in both inner city and rural areas. As a social worker I have worked with young people leaving care and older adults in hospital and community based teams. Prior to joining UWS in 2016, I was employed as a practice educator in a local authority social work department, working with student social workers during assessed practice placements and delivering a variety of learning and development activities for social work staff across the authority.
I am a qualified mindfulness teacher, registered with the UK Network of Mindfulness-based teachers.
