Personal profile

Overview

Civil Engineer with a measure of social conscience, often in a concrete lab, creating or building something and investigating behaviour with all its complexity. I strongly believe in multiskilling, total construction service companies and in socially balanced free-trade economy (new Keynesian economics).

In research, I'm particularly interested in cementitious materials and their deterioration on one hand, digital technologies in the built envirionent, and the complexity of human behaviour in organisations with fundamentals in Luhmann's theory of social systems and Maturana's and Varela's Autopoietic theory on the other.
