Michael's research interests are accounting education and corporate social responsibility, with publications in prestigious journals such as 'Journal of Business Ethics' and 'Studies in Higher Education', and external funding from Carnegie Trust. He has supervised several successful doctoral students and received awards such as the 'British Accounting and Finance Association Special Interest Group on Accounting Education Annual Best Paper Prize' and the 'Best Developmental Paper' by the International Business & International Management Special Interest Group at the British Academy of Management Annual Conference for his research.
