Dr Mostain joined the school of busness and creative industry in 2022 as a lecturer in logistcis and supply chain. He is currently coordinating two modules (logistcis manageement and supply chain management) in the MBA program, and one module (operations in business) in the undergraduate program. Prior to joining at UWS he also acted as Cohort leader for undergraduate program in another HE institution.
Mostain holds a Ph.D. in logistics and supply chain management from the university of Middlesex, UK. He studied green supply chain management in the UK pharma sector. His research, consulting and teaching interests spans across the logistics, operations and supply chain management related areas. He has teaching and supervision experience across Masters, Undergraduate, vocational and professional level courses. He has also delivered Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship Courses in the UK. He also holds an MBA from the UK and completed his engineering degree from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He has presented various research papers at International Conferences including Production and Operation Management Society (POMS), European Operation Management Association (EurOMA) and British Academy of Management (BAM).
His research interest lies in the field of green operations, logistics and supply chain, sustainability, Green Design, Green Manufacturing, Responsible Waste Management, responsible sourcing, Circular economy practices, Industry 4.0 led supply Chain, green pharma logistics and supply chain, product use-and-disposal management, MET (Materials, Energy & Toxicity) assessment of SC, decarbonised & dematerialised SC design.
