Overview

My research interests at present focus around the influence of HCA/ Nursing assistant grade staff on the clinical development of student mental health nurses

Area of academic expertise - outline

I recently used Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis to study the impact of healthcare support staff on student mental health nurse clinical development and have previously used both thematic analysis and correlational and descriptive statistics within mixed methods research.  I am currently supervising students investigating topics such as the involvement of carers within drug misuse treatment, the impact of trauma on crisis practitioners and the effectiveness of individualised care for LGBT individuals who have dementia.

Current research activities

I am currently using Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis to study the impact of healthcare support staff on student mental health nurse clinical development

Target collaborative companies

I am keen to continue to develop collaborations with NHS, Social Care and Non statutory mental health care providers
