Dr. Majd is happy to supervise projects that look to advance the marketing and retailing literature in the following areas:
1 - Role of digital technologies in re-shaping customer journeys and experiences across retail agglomerations (such as town centers, shopping malls, high street).
2 - Sustainability in marketing channels and its implications on customers' behavioral intentions.

Academic experience: Dr. Majd has completed his PhD in Marketing and Retailing with focus on omnichannel customer experience from Loughborough University, UK. He was awarded a full studentship to complete his PhD. Prior to joining UWS, Dr. Majd has worked as an Assistant Professor in Digital Marketing at Princess Sumaya University for Technology, Jordan. Likewise, he worked as a University Teacher at Loughborough University, UK. Between September 2021 and March 2022, Dr. Majd served as Head of Department of E-Markteting and Social Media at PSUT before joining UWS.
Industry experience: Dr. Majd worked as a junior engineer and operations manager for two companies prior to starting the PhD programme. Later, Dr. Majd was involved in several collaborative projects with various companies such as Cisco and Diamonds Private Free Zone. Over the past two years, Dr. Majd served as an external consultant (Digital Marketing and Retailing) for various companies in Jordan.
Qualifications: Dr. Majd holds a PhD in Digital Marketing and Retailing, a Master of Science in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management with focus on innovation and family firms, and a Bachelor of Engineering (Engineering Management) Loughborough University, UK.
Professional qualifications, Dr. Majd is a fellow of the UK Higher Education (FHEA) and a Green Belt Lean Six Sigma. He is also a certified Omnichannel marketing advisor accredited by MediaMath. Memberships: Majd is an Incorporated Engineer and a member of Jordanian Engineers Association.
Dr. Majd is a published scholar with extensive knowledge in omnichannel marketing and retailing. His research has been published in impactful marketing journals. Dr. Majd research covers different areas of consumer and B2B marketing with focus on topics including customer experience, customer journey, eWOM, luxury retailing, and sustainable marketing.
Besides his research expertise, Dr. Majd has extensive teaching experience of marketing and retailing modules including digital marketing strategy, international marketing, branding, retailing, and sales management. He has taught in different institutaitons in the UK and overseas. Given his teaching experience, Dr. Majd has been recognised as a fellow of the UK higher education.
Dr. Majd is currently invovled in exciting reserach projects with world-leading scholars in the following areas:
1 - Sustainability orientation effect on marketing channels' members.
2 - Role of Technology in luxury branding.
3 - Customer Experience across multiple channels.
Due to his research interests and qualifactions, Dr. Majd has expertise in the following areas:

3 - New product development
