Personal profile

I recently returned to the UK after living in Australia for 17 years. There I undertook my Registered Nurse training and since 2010 have practiced within the Perioperative environment both within the public and private setting. In 2015 I obtained my masters in clinical nursing which then directed my focus more on clinical education. In 2016, I began working as a casual tutor/marker within the undergraduate and postgraduate nursing programmes which enabled me to further my knowledge in academic teaching. In 2020, I obtained by Bachelor of Education (ProfHons) in Applied Learning and was now working full time in teaching nursing.

Upon my return to the UK, I obtained my NMC registration and have been working as a Lecturer in Adult Nursing based in Scotland.

My main research interests are in simulation learning activities, particularly how they are conducted and impact upon International Nurses who are looking to gain their registration within the UK.
