My research interests and expertise lie within the field of sport sociology, particularly in the areas of gender in sport, sport development, and coaching philosophies. I also have experience in adult education and am interested in the development of sport practitioner education.
My previous projects include work on the gendered nature of coach education, the role of competition in sport coach philosophies, and the potential role of university sport and recreation in helping to support international students.
Desired research direction
I am interested in working with gender issues in sport, particularly around stereotyping. I would also like to engage with projects linking sport coaching policy and education with practice.
