Personal profile

Overview

A highly experienced educator and television professional with a substantial track record in production and development, I am currently a Broadcast Lecturer at the University of the West of Scotland. In addition to my duties in teaching and learning, I am currently embarking on a creative practice-based PhD using documentary filmmaking techniques.

Thanks to 12 years of fulltime experience in the television industry and my broad network of TV colleagues across the UK, I actively build bridges to professional life for my students. I also collaborate closely with my counterparts at the University on theoretical course development and changes to modules to keep pace with the cutting edge of industry practice. I have produced and directed factual television for BBC, Sky, C4, Five and the Discovery Channel.
