I am a Lecturer in Business and Management and was previously a Lecturer in HRM, Programme Leader and Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) Course Tutor.

I hold a BA Arts degree in English and Russian from Queen's University Belfast and a postgraduate degree in Human Resource Management from Glasgow Caledonian University. I am a Chartered Member of CIPD, a qualified 'English Language to Speakers of Other Languages' teacher and is a Myers Briggs Type I Qualified Assessor.  

Prior to working at UWS I worked in management within the hospitality industry. This was followed by a spell as a researcher at Glasgow Caldedonian University. In the past five years, I have worked with engineering SMEs in Ayrshire as a business development and change consultant and as a researcher at Heriot-Watt University before returning full time to UWS in August 2020.

I have extensive experience in management development for a number of public and private organisations and have published research and impact studies throughout my career.

My current research interests is are in the areas of social mobility, the Graduate Apprenticeship initiative and work based learning systems.
