Overview

My passion and expertise lie wihtin the realm of compassion and compassionate care.  This along with the adoption of online learning and digital tools to assist in understanding the concept of compassion.

Area of academic expertise - outline

My expertise are focused on compassion and compassionate care within healthcare, this has come from my research and PhD.

I also have expertise in surgical nursing, pre and post operative care with particular emphasis on plastics and maxillofacial surgery.

Current research activities

I am currently in the completion stage of my Phd research which aims to evaluate a care and compassion massive open online course (MOOC)

Current teaching activities and interests

I currently teach within the third year BSc Nursing Programme within which I am partially responsible for subjects such as holistic skills, research evidence in practice and fitness for practice
