Personal profile

I am a lecturer in the Division of Social Sciences and the programme leader for the Master's of Public Administration. I have worked as a government social researcher for two arms'-length bodies of the Ministry of Justice, where I conducted research on sexual violence and fraud victmisation, Victims' Code compliance, and deaths in custody.

My research focuses on the intersection between public administration, data practices and the use of evidence in legal-administrative processes. I am currently working on a monograph about the history of the British Crime Survey and projects related to asylum administration, forensic bordering, and visions of the 'virtuous' public official.
