  • 1999 – present Supervisor of Midwives (NHSL)
  • July 2008 – present  International accredited infant massage instructo

 

Subjects:

Programme Leader for BSc Midwifery since September 2013

Teach across all years within the preregistration midwifery programme.

Module co-ordinator and Link coordinator for various modules across the pre and post registration programme.

Current research activities

MPHIL/PHD at UWS

Commenced October 2014

Development, validate and implement an effective mechanism to review the documentation of care provided by midiwves in line with professional standards

Target collaborative organisations

 

Collaborate with Listen Well Scotland to measure the impact of the learning experience  of student midwives  taking part in the Effective Listening Foundation Course at the University of the West of Scotland

Other areas of expertise available for knowledge exchange

Work in partnership  with Leisure Sports Industry , UWS Gym and Sports Programmes to promote/improve  Health and Wellbeing for student nurses and midwives and also imput into their programmes/events.
