Overview
Dr Jayakumar Chinnasamy is a Lecturer in Education at the School of Education and Social Sciences. He brings over two decades of experience spanning both academia and industry, having held lecturing positions in Business and Education across India, Bhutan, Bahrain, and the UK. His expertise includes teaching and supervising students at undergraduate, postgraduate, and lifelong learning levels, with a focus on Education and Business Management.
Dr Chinnasamy obtained his PhD from the University of the West of Scotland in 2022. His research explored "Educators' Perspectives on Internationalisation in Scottish Higher Education: Culture, Identity, and Constructions of Scottishness."
He is an active member of leading professional associations, including the Scottish Educational Research Association (SERA), British Educational Research Association (BERA), International Professional Development Association (IPDA), British Association for International and Comparative Education (BAICE), and the European Society for Research on the Education of Adults (ESREA). His ongoing research interests lie in internationalisation, comparative education, cultural identity, organisational development, and sustainable development.
