Overview

Dr Jayakumar Chinnasamy is a Lecturer in Education, at the School of Education and Social Sciences. Prior to joining the University in May 2022, he served as a Lecturer in Business, in countries like India, Bhutan, Bahrain, and the UK. Jayakumar has teaching experience in areas like Education and Business Management and has taught and supervised students at various levels including UG, PG, and Life-Long Learning. Jayakumar has around 22 years of experience in both academics and industry.

Dr Chinnasamy received his PhD from the University of the West of Scotland in 2022, which focussed on the "Educators' perspectives of internationalisation in Scottish higher education: culture, identity, and constructions of Scottishness”.

Jayakumar is an active member of the Scottish Educational Research Association (SERA); British Educational Research Association (BERA); International Professional Development Association (IPDA); European Society for Research on the Education of Adults (ESREA).
