Overview

Based as a Lecturer within the School of Engineering and Computing and having a background working with Compaq Computer Corporation (Logistics Analyst) and Hewlet-Packard (Test Engineering), much of my professional time now consists of Programming, Web Design and System Configuration.

My research time, however is spent within the School of Science and Sport. I have over 20 years coaching experience within Swimming, Football and most recently Athletics where enjoy looking at human movement with a view to improving performance or reducing injury. I have coached athletes to the 2014 Commonwealth Games finals as well as 2015 Under 23 European Championships not to mention numerous national/international medals. My particular interest lies within the athletics hammer throw event. Little research has been carried out in this area especially with the use of three dimensional video acquisition and analysis as well as electromyography.
