Overview

I teach into both undergraduate BSc and MSc nursing programmes, and MSc postgraduate nursing programmes.  I supervise MSc and doctoral student research projects.  My area of research is mental health, qualitative methodologies and evidence synthesis.

I am an expert in qualitative research methodologies, systematic reviewing and evidence synthesis.  

Other areas of expertise available for knowledge exchange

I have considerable experience in secondary and specialist mental health services as a registered mental health nurse.  These areas include Over 65 functional assessment Inpatients, Adult acute Inpatients, Substance misuse services and Community Mental Health Services.  I am also a trained counsellor and psychotherapist.
