Overview

Claire is Professor of Experimental Psychology at the University of the West of Scotland. Her research interests lie in human vision, perception and cognition, with a particular focus on visual perception and cognition in normative samples, and in healthy aging, neurodegeneration and disease.

Claire holds an MA (Hons) Psychology, awarded by the University of Aberdeen and a PhD in Visual Neuroscience, awarded by the University of Nottingham. She is a Chartered Psychologist (CPsychol) and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA). Before joining UWS, she was an Associate Professor in the School of Psychology and Vision Sciences at the Univesity of Leicester.
