Overview

Experience in clical practice includes: Registered Nurse in the acute hospital setting (medical); Registered Midwife working with women and families across pre, intra and post partum care; Specialist Community Public Health Nurse- Health Visitor; Practice Development Nurse for Health Visiting and Practice Nursing. Currently a Lecturer in Health Studies and the Pathway Lead for the Family Health programme.

Working with children and families, with a focus on health and well-being and inter-professional working.

Public Health, Family Health, Health Improvement and Clinical Governance.

Communication competence and patient safety

Educational theory and practice with a focus on social learning approaches.

Phenomenological theory with a particular interest in Gadamerian Hermeneutics.

To continue in developing educational excellence in online teaching and learning for health and social care professionals, with a focus upon working with families.
