Area of academic expertise - outline

Teaching in forensic science and organic chemistry. Research activity focuses on applications  of chemical techniques to forensic and environmental science. Especially infrared spectroscopy and microscopy for the identification of trace evidence and microplastics.  Quantitative NMR techniques for the analysis of drugs and fuels.

Manage chemistry outreach to schools and wider public through the RSC's Spectroscopy in a Suitcase programme based at UWS
