Area of academic expertise - outline

Teaching in forensic science and organic chemistry. Research activity focuses on applications  of chemical techniques to forensic and environmental science. Especially infrared spectroscopy and microscopy for the identification of trace evidence and microplastics.  Gas chromatographic techniques for the analysis of biodiesel.

Manage chemistry outreach to schools and wider public through the RSC's Spectroscopy in a Suitcase programme based at UWS
