Currently Senior Lecturer Learning and Teaching in the School of Business and Creative Industries. I started working at UWS in June 2016 as an Early Career Lecturer in Management, Strategy and Leadership.
I have been Programme Leader of the MSc International Managment, Link Tutor for a TNE partner, and am currently Chair of the School Teaching and Learning Advisory Group and Co-Chair of both the Engagment Panel and Plagiarism Panel.
I also represent the School on Senate Disciplinary Committee, Education Advisory Committee and Student Partnership Forum. I am a member of the British Academy of Management, and a Senior Fellow of Advance HE.
My current research focus is on employability and labour markets (continuing my PhD research) and I am currently PI with a Third Sector mKTP in this area. I am interested more broadly in enterprise, organisational change and social value and currently developing research outputs with colleagues in these areas.
I am also starting to develop research on the Scholarship of Learning and Teaching and have some pilot projects in the pipeline relating to training Programme Leaders, and MBA Group Supervision.
I am involved in research projects focusing on third sector entrepreneurship, decent work and employablity.
I currently supervise Doctoral study on topics including: decent work, employee engagement, and change management.
My desired research direction is to develop further research on work in Scotland, particularly around the quality of work and access to work.
