I am currently a lecturer in Adult Nursing having been employed in full time education since 2004 and I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Having trained as a Registered Nurse and a Registered Midwife I have worked in a variety of clinical settings in Glasgow and Cumbria. Prior to moving into full time education I spent 10 years working as a fertility nurse in Oxford, Essex and London. Whilst in Oxford and London I assisted in clinical reserach programmes. I also previously was the Chair of the Royal College of Nurisng Fertilty Nurses Group. I also use to be the nurse member on the Editorial Board for the Human Fertility Journal.
For my MSc Advanced Health Studies my dissertation investigated the emotional wellbeing of patients attending a fertility unit.
For my MSc Research in Health practice my dissertation was an interpretative phenomenological study on the role of the nurse lecturer in a pre-registration adult nursing programme.
