Anthony is a full-time lecturer at the University of the West of Scotland in the division of Mental Health Nursing and Integrated Practice and a registered mental health nurse and teacher with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.

Anthony is currently undertaking a part-time PhD with a research focus on how student nurses make sense of their spirituality.

Anthony is a member of the Spirituality Scholars Network, a special interest group of the International Network for the Study of Spiritualty, and of the Enhancing Nurses' and Midwives' Competence in Providing Spiritual Care through Innovative Educaiton and Compassionate Care (EPICC) Network.

Research interests include spirituality, well-being, self-care, and mindfulness.
